The CS was headed to Isooni Primary school in Kathiani for the launch of the digital literacy program when he made the visit.

Matiang'i questioned why students were sharing textbooks yet the government had provided enough money to buy books.

The sorry state of the dormitories and toilets did not augur well with the CS who wondered how the school spent close to Sh 13 million received from the government and other millions collected as fees.

"I cannot believe that the management and principal of this school have settled on buying a bus worth more than Sh10 million and let the students sleep in such poor states, I am literally fighting to hold back tears," the visibly unhappy CS questioned.

Matiang'i was accompanied by the County education executive Madam Faith Wathome, County director of education among other senior officers.
