Education CS Fred Matiangi on Tuesday skipped the unveiling of the new board of the Commission for the University Education (CUE).

It is not clear why the CS skipped the function.

This is the second time in a month that the ceremony has failed to kick off.

However, Higher Education Principal Secretary Collete Suda was present in the event which was to be presided by her boss.

The new board members to be unveiled as commissioners include Elizabeth Muli, Anne Muigai, Lucy Kambuni and Nazeer Ladhani. Others include James Ochieng, Wilson Langat, Millicent Omukaga, Lucy Wanja and Abudo Mumo.
