The Acting Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i hit out at Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria after his arrest.Kuria who is a strong defender of President Uhuru Kenyatta was arrested on Monday over hate speech remarks.The Jubilee legislator is alleged to have threatened to hunt people who live in Kiambu county and did not vote for Uhuru in the August 8 polls.Speaking in Nyamira county on Monday, Matiangi said Kuria should not think he is above the law just because he is from the ruling party.He further noted that stiff action will be taken against leaders who perpetuate hate speech. "Some people think that just because they come from the ruling party, the law is not for them. We have stopped talking on what we should do, we will do it. We will take action and you will witness this," said Matiang'i.Also the former Machakos senator Johnstone Muthama was arrested on Monday over hate speech utterances.
