Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i is among key Government officials required to record statements over the Sh 3.2 billion Ruaraka land payout.
The others are former Attorney General Githu Muigai and National Land Commission (NLC) officials who are said to be key players in the sellng of the land.
Investigations show that on March last year, Dr Matiang'i then the Minister for Education wrote to Prof Mohammed Swazuri asking him to ensure that NLC buys the land.
Already two firms recieved a payment of Sh 1.5 billion but a balance of Sh 1.7 billion is said to be in question as an irregular payment.
Parliament is also investigating the matter.
Sources close to Dr Matiang'i reveal that he is supposed to apear before the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission (EACC) this week to clarify the role he played in the payments.
Already Mr Swazuri and the NLC Vice chairperson Abigail Mulokwe have appeared before the committee investigating the matter af intergrity centre.
On his side Prof Muigai said that he had already provided essential information required by the investigators.
However, EACC Chief Executive Officer Halakhe Waqo has refused to speak more about the matter saying that they were making progress in the matter.
Asked if it was true Dr Matiang'i will be appearing before the committee, Mr Waqo never responded.
