Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i has lauded Kitutu Masaba constituents for voting out former MP Timothy Bosire.

Bosire unsuccessfully sought reelection on an ODM party ticket during the August polls.

He lost to Jubilee Party's Shadrack Mose.

According to Matiang'i, the outspoken politician had become 'a constant irritant', and therefore deserved the axe.

"Bosire had become an irritant, insulting everybody and whistling in Parliament," the CS remarked.

Matiang'i further challenged residents in Nyamira to shun the anti-IEBC protests calls by NASA, asserting that the demonstrations are negatively impacting the country's economy.

"We are a hardworking people. We should not be misled to join meaningless demonstrations,” Matiang'i," he said.

"As a minister in charge of internal security, I want to assure you the government is ready to support the IEBC, which is a constitutionally mandated body to do elections," he added.
