The Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Hajji now wants the former Attorney General Githu Muigai and Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i to record statements on their role in the Ksh.3.3 billion deal.
According to Citizen, former AG Githu Muigai recorded a statement with EACC on Thursday, and Matiang'i who had also recorded a statement earlier, could be back at Integrity House on Monday.
In the probe, EACC has submitted files on 26 individuals recommended for prosecution, including the National Lands Commission chairman Muhammad Swazuri, two commissioners at the lands commission, a principal secretary, and a number of Ministry of lands officials.
