This is after he imposed dusk-to-dawn curfew in Lamu, Tana River and Garissa counties. The leaders, who are backing the election of former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga, has dismissed the CS terming the move as “unjustified”.

The politicians argue that the CS would have joined other Kenyans in mourning the death of Nkaissery and not imposing curfews.

Led by ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetang’ula, Siaya Senator James Orengo and his Kilifi counterpart Stewart Madzayo, the politician said it was unreasonable of Matiangi to take such as an action.

According to the leaders, the curfew is likely to affect their vote hunt mission.  Addressing a rally in Gongoni, Magarini Sub County, Wetang’ula said that Matiang’i quick to act.

“You can easily defend your territory from within your territory, not by occupying another territory,” Wetang’ula said.

The sentiments of the leaders come at a time when leaders from different parts of the nation are mourning the death of the CS.
