Eldas Secondary School teacher Ibrahim Yusuf said most teachers have decided to stay home as others looked for employment elsewhere for fear of insecurity in the region.
The parents lamented that the teachers have transferred to other regions for fear of security in the region and has led to poor performance.
“Teachers are afraid of staying in Wajir schools for fear of attacks something that has really dragged the education of this county behind.” Says Aden Ishmael.
