A NASA affiliated MP has claimed that Interior CS Fred Matiang’i want the MPs to die by slashing the number of security officers attached to parliamentarians.
Homa Bay County Women Representative Gladys Wanga accused Matiang’i for planning to kill the MPs indirectly.
“Matiang’i should be probed because his plans to reduce the number of security officers protecting MPs are not in good faith.
"We as leaders have a lot of enemies hence entitled to protection to keep off goons from attacking us,” she said.
Wanga stated that no MP will accept Matiang’i’s plans and it is time the government should show him the door for planning to give criminals a chance to harm the leaders who are elected by the people.
“MPs will be scared visiting their areas of administration because there will be no security around them.
"We need protection as we traverse the country to serve our people. I totally disagree with Matiang’i over his plans to cut the number of police officers protecting us," he noted.
She challenged the government to employ more security officers to increase the number of security officers in the country to protect people and their property.
