Dagotetti North MP Simba Arati has asked interior cabinet secretary Fred Matiang'i to be more careful about his life.
This call comes after the CS said that his life was in danger following his spirited fight on contraband goods.
The Orange Democratic Movement lawmaker was speaking on Monday during an event where more than 1,100 illegal gambling machines were burnt.
“Na Bwana Waziri uchunge usiwekewe sumu kwa chakula juu ya hii kazi(Mr Cabinet Secretary, please take care that your food is not poisoned on account of the work you are doing)," Mr Arati said.
Dr Matiang'i who was also at the event threatened to sack any administrative officers, including chiefs, sub-chiefs, county and regional commissioners, found to be involved in the illegal gambling scheme.
“We are ruining our children. Twelve-year-olds are the ones who go to play these games. It is going against the president’s goal of 100 per cent transition into secondary schools,” Dr Matiangí said.
The tough Cs has given administration officers until 30th June to eliminate all gambling machines in their areas of administration.
