Education Cabinet secretary Fred Matiangi has issued one month ultimatum for surrendering of encroached land belonging to Nyambaria high school.
Speaking during the school's prize giving day on Sunday, The CS gave a directive to all those who encroached the school land to decamp before they are forced out.
"I want to start my work. We completed the survey of this school recently. In the next one month, we have all the beacons, all the land belonging to this school is given to it and anybody who has encroached on the land of this school should move," he said.
"There are about 3 acres of land that have been encroached here.They should be evacuated and the school gets its appropriate land," he added.
"Tell this people they should cease from intruding into school land. We want to expand this school so that our children get learning facilities," Matiangi said.
The education CS also disclosed laid plans in construction of a multi-purpose hall of the school.
"We have agreed we are going to build a multi-purpose hall for the school. On September 11, on a Sunday, we will break ground here to start building a multipurpose hall. We can see the need and all stakeholders should participate," said Matiangi.
The school held its annual prize giving day after posting results as the best school in Nyamira County and Gusii region at large with 10.1 mean, and having the best student nationally.
