Mochama lauded the decision saying Matiang’i has shown transparency to Kenyans in Education sector.

Mochama said the decision will motivate students in private schools to work hard since the government considers them equally.

“We are happy with Matiangi ‘s directive that whoever attained 400 marks and above will join national schools from both public and private schools ,” said Charles Mochama on Thursday last week.

He said he supports the minister's efforts to curb examination malpractice, a menace which has riddled previous exams.

Mochama also congratulated all pupils from Gusii region who performed well in their KCPE examinations
