The Nyamira County Chief officer of Education Fridah Nyaboga has backed the Education Cabinet secretary Dr. Fred Matiangi for the prevention moves to curb examination cheating in Kenya
Speaking in his office on Thursday, in Nyamira, Nyaboga said that prevention is better than cure, and therefore all parents and stakeholders should not be against the move.
“I urge the parents and the stake holders to support the move and ensure that they report anybody who tries to tell them the cheating stories, lets reflect on the real society and let every child give out what he know not what he has been spoon feed,” Nyaboga said.
“Examination cheating has caused us a lot, more especially our youths, we cannot tell the exact talent of profession where one can fit fully because of the shadow results which are obtained through cheating,“ Nyaboga added.
The chief officer has also asked students to be ready for the national examinations and get rid of the notion of getting leakages this year, insisting that every education stakeholders should be tough this year to reflect the real results.
“Examination is not a punishment but a way of passing to the next level, lets respect the examination and its body,” Nyaboga added.
