Nyamira County Commissioner Isaiah Nakoru has assured Ekerenyo residents in Nyamira North District that Ekerenyo police station will never be relocated to another place as it was alleged before.

Addressing residents in Nyamira town  on Monday, Nakoru said the government is devoted in providing tight security to area residents because  Ekerenyo has been experiencing insecurity in other days before

"I  want to assure Ekerenyo residents that the police  station will never be relocated, it will remain to be there so that police will provide security to area residents ,"  said Nakoru

"Ekerenyo police station is there to stay let the people stop allegations  that the government has plans to relocate it, it must be there,"he added

he assured that the station 's  OCPD is available and security will be continued to be provided by area  police officers .

It had been said that the police station was to be relocated prompting the residents and a section of leaders to cry for the government not to relocate the station something that has brought  fruits to area residents.

Area residents louded  the decision by saying they will be confident about the security and appriciated the government for not relocating the police station

"we are happy for  the government for its decision of not relocating the station and our commissioner has assured us that there will be enough security to us at Ekerenyo," said Evans Mokua area resident at Ekerenyo
