Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has released this year's KCSE and KCPE dates.

While addressing the press on Monday, the CS said KCSE exams (oral tests) will begin on October 23, while written tests will begin on November 6 and end on November 29, 2017.

KCPE on the other hand will be held between November 1 and 2.

Dr Matiang’i pleaded with the IEBC to hold the fresh presidential election, as ordered by the Supreme Court, seven days before October 17.

"We have asked the IEBC to hold the election a week before October 17th," he said

The CS said this would enable students prepare adequately for the national examinations.
