The Interior Cabinet secretary has clarified that as much as the Ministry appreciates talent among youths and Kenyans, a stern is sent to irresponsible citizens.

“While the Ministry of Interior Security appreciates talents among youths and Kenyans, we want to send a stern warning among irresponsible citizens,” said Matiang’i adding that, “Just few days I warned citizens from sharing a photo directed to tarnish public figures, it has come to our attention that this behaviour has erupted again.”

The Cabinet Secretary warned that anyone sharing the photoshopped photos will not be tolerated but will be harshly judged.

“Let this reach everyone very well and clear, we will not tolerate this, immediate action will be taken and anyone found sharing such photos will be judged harshly,” posted Dr. Matiang’i on Facebook.

He also reminded Kenyans that the government respect freedom of speech but discourages hate.

“Let us remember that as a government we respect freedom of speech but we don’t encourage hate,” conclude Matiang’i.

Kenyans are always expressing their feelings towards the politicians through dirty, ridiculous and funny photoshops, for example, a photo of street children with the head of the political leaders.
