The late veteran politician Kenneth Matiba will not be buried but rather will be cremated.
A family source said it was the fallen heroes that when he dies he should be cremated in a low key ceremony.Matiba, during his hey days, had also hit out at the fanfare associated with a burial yet people had not cared when the deceased was alive.“The committee has tentatively agreed that Mzee will be cremated in Lang’ata on Friday according to his wishes which the family felt it has a duty to honour. There will be a funeral service in Nairobi on Wednesday and at Ihura Stadium on Thursday before the cremation on Friday, which will be largely a private family affair,’’ a source said. The cremation will take place at the Lang’ata crematorium in Nairobi.
