Matungulu Sub-County OCPD Joseph Chesire has urged landlords in Matungulu town and its environs to fix security lights outside their houses for security purposes.
Speaking on Tuesday in Matungulu town, while addressing residents, Chesire said that the move will help to enhance security in the area.
“When the security lights are operating at night it is easier for the officers to recognise suspicious people roaming near the residential areas. This will also help the night guards maintain security with more ease,” said Chesire.
Chesire further urged the residents to embrace Nyumba Kumi Initiative saying that the sub county is at risk due to the closeness to Nairobi.
“We are bordering Nairobi and malicious people can escape the glare of tight security in the town and take advantage of the lapse in security in the region. Nyumba Kumi initiative is crucial; it will help you to identify new persons among youselves," said Chesire.
