Speaking on Tuesday in Nguluni secondary school in Matungulu west ward after bursary allocation exercise, the residents lamented that the County government had not fulfilled its promised in the area of sinking a borehole and providing big tanks for the residents so as to harvest the rain water.

Muindi Musango a resident of Nguluni called upon the area leadership including the MP Stephen Mule and the ward member of County assembly Magdalene Ndawa to step-up and ensures water project promises are fulfilled.

“We are watching as rain water pours and we have nothing we can do. Our County government promised to sink a borehole and give us big water tanks but in our ward no such project has been done yet,” said Musango.

However speaking during the bursary allocation, Magdalene Ndawa the area nominate MCA assured the residents that she would support the Machakos County governor Alfred Mutua to ensure the residents receive developments.

It was a great move and decision owing to the fact that Ndawa has been on the opposition side of the governor’s leadership which is led by senator Johnston Muthama,

The residents are excited following the move by Ndawa hopeful that with the leaders uniting, development will be steered.
