The residents of Koma in Matungulu sub-county are requesting the National and County government to build a police post in the area.
Speaking to the residents led by one of elders in Koma, Stephen Muasya stated the security was deteriorating as they only depended on day shift traffic police.
"Thugs and thieves have taken advantage of lack of security officers or even a security police post during the night and have started harassing the residents," said Muasya.
The residents further urged the Matungulu County Commissioner Patrick Mwangi to ensure erection of an Administration camp.
Dominic Mutua a resident and a member of Koma Nyumba Kumi initiative supports the call stating that the area was being used by thieves as a criminal den.
"We only rely on the traffic police who are on Komarock-Nairobi road and are only available during the day hence in the night we are living in fear," said Mutua.
