Matungulu Sub-County Deputy County Commissioner Patrick Mwangi has directed area chiefs to consider giving Form Four students who have attained the age of 18 years National Identity Cards (IDs).
Speaking on Friday in the sub-county, Mwangi said the students should not be prevented from applying for IDs, just because they have not completed their education.
“The students also have a right to acquire IDs so that when they complete school, they do not waste time applying for the document,” said Mwangi.
He directed chiefs and their assistants to forward the names of students who meet the requirements to vetting committees separately, instead of including them in the general file thus delaying the process.
