Speaking in Mwala town on Monday, Kieti stated the demonstrations were not promoting peace and unity but instead the coalition should follow the constitution to agitate for their grievances peacefully.

"We have said that if there are demonstrators carrying weapons or destroying property, all should be arrested with their leaders, Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula," said Kieti.

Reverend Kieti further called upon Cord to respect the government by airing their discomforts in the right manner.

This follows two consecutive demonstrations by Cord aimed at disbanding IEBC commissioners from office following lack of faith in the body.

However, the coalition has vowed to continue holding the demonstrations until IEBC is disbanded. Yesterday, despite the heavy presence of security officers in the city Cord made clear their intentions of carrying on with the demonstrations.

The demonstrations on Monday took place in some Cord strongholds that include Nairobi, Kisumu, Kisii and Nyamira.
