Leaders have come out to condemn the disrespect of the president during his annual state of the nation address.

Chaos errupted on Thursday inside the assembly after the opposition Mps blew whistles as the president Uhuru Kenyatta made his speech. 

Speaking on Thursday evening the Mwala branch Chairman of Mau Mau association Johnstone Kieti condemned highly the disruption terming it as unacceptable.

"We got our independence and are all entitled to respect the head of state whether we agree on what hos address is or not. No individual patriotic to our nation should be disrespectful to the highest office in the land, " said Kieti.

However, speaking to Steve Musyoki a resident of Mwala town was discontented with the presidents state of the nation address. 

"We expected that the president would have something new for us as youth but it was not the case. Corruption has increased and development projects have depreciated causing expensive lifestyle for low income earning citizens," said Musyoki.

On Thursday several members of National assembly were kicked out by the house speaker after disrupting the President's third state of nation address.
