Drama ensued in Parliament after Mavoko MP Patrick Makau was ejected from the chambers for taking a seat reserved for minority leader John Mbadi on Tuesday.
The speaker to the National Assembly Justin Muturi ordered Makau out of the house after he refused to leave the seat meant for the Suba East MP.
The Wiper MP sat on the seat arguing that as far as he is concerned, he is the official leader of the minority in the house after NASA leader Raila Odinga signed an agreement with President Uhuru Kenyatta last Friday.
Makau said the Uhuru-Raila deal meant that ODM which Mbadi leads in Parliament is now in Jubilee government hence no longer in the opposition.
Even after Makau was ejected, he said he will sit on the same seat when he returns to the chambers tomorrow.
Bungoma woman representative Catherine Wambilianga who was elected on the Amani National Congress party ticket also insisted she is the new whip occupying Junet Mohamed's reserved seat but later gave it up.
This comes barely a day after NASA principals met in Machakos County on Monday, a meeting which was chaired by NASA leader Raila Odinga.
