Makau argued that the trip is not a priority.

He said Mutua should settle down and serve Machakos people.

Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the Kamba Leaders Unity meeting in Matungulu on Monday, Makau said Governor Mutua is wasting time moving around the country  campaigning instead of delivering services to electorates.

“The Machakos governor needs to get serious with his wok, there are so many issues to be addressed in Machakos. He must stop these unnecessary tours,” he said.

The Wiper MP said Mutua has become a tourist governor, neglecting his duties.

He accused Mutua of disregarding his duties and concentrating more on his 2022 presidential bid.

The MP asked Mutua to be accountable to the people, stating that he should quit office and concentrate on his 2022 bid.

Governor Mutua will begin his four days visit to Nyeri County today.

The Machakos governor during his Nyeri tour will visit several development projects.

Governor Mutua’s Nyeri tour comes a month after Mutahi Kahiga (Nyeri Governor) made a similar visit to Machakos County.
