(Photo/the star.co.ke)Mavoko MP Patrick Makau has slammed president Uhuru Kenyatta over state commendation made on Tuesday during Jamhuri day.The Wiper MP claims that Jubilee is using the state commendation to reward cronies and political friends instead of deserving Kenyans.Speaking in Mavoko Town on Wednesday, the MP now wants the law reviewed to ensure that only deserving Kenyans are recognised for their roles in nation building.He said that the commendation made on Tuesday was a mockery to Kenyans and the law.The Wiper MP said that majority of the people recognized on Tuesday did not deserve it"It is embarrassing that instead of awarding and recognising people who merit and who have made an impact, Uhuru decided to recognise propagandiats and undeserving people for the state commendation," he said.Makau said that Jubilee adminstration is taking Kenyans for a ride.He said that the country has hardworking and committed citizens whose roles and impact in various fields need to be recognized and not jokers.He said that Jubilee has personalised the government and is using it to push personal interests.The state commendation made on Tueaday during the Jamhuri fete has drawn sharp criticism with majority of Kenyans saying that some of those commended did not deserve to be recognized.Among the individuals commended who Kenyans feel did not deserve the recognition are blogger Robert Alai, singer Ben Githae, Citizen Reporter Jacky Maribe, 'Githeri Man' and Digital Director at the Office of the President Dennis Itumbi among others.The state commendation recognises people who have made an impact in their various fields .
