Speaking to our reporter, the chairman of Mawanga Youth Agenda lobby group and the organisers of the workshop Antony Waweru said that the workshop, which is sponsored by Community Initiatives and Social Support Organization (CISSO) will target youth aged between 15-40 both male and female and will address various socio-economic consequences involved in drug and alcohol abuse among youths in Kenya.

“This is a rare opportunity for our local youths to learn more about this problem. We are reaching out to youth in and without the area to attend this important workshop because this problem is widespread in Nakuru,”said Waweru.

He said the event that will take place at Teachers Primary School will be addressed by various local leaders and professionals in the youth and development sectors including officials from the National Campaign Against Drug and Alcohol Abuse(NACADA).
