Suba South Member of Parliament-elect John Mbadi has been the latest leader to support the proposal by the ruling Jubilee party to have Garissa lawmaker-elect Aden Duale retain his position as the national assembly leader of majority.

Speaking on Opinion Court on Citizen TV Thursday, Mbadi who hails from the opposition said that Duale is the right man for the job,a position he also held in the past 11th parliament terming him as a passionate leader and a loyalist who defended the President Uhuru Kenyatta-led government no matter what in the last parliament.

''Duale is the man for the job.He is a loyalist and has the passion to do the job and also understands his legislative roles making him fit for the position,'' said the Orange Party national chairman.

He, however, urged Duale to approach the job with more sobriety and humility after being accused of being abusive and too offensive towards the opposing blocks and individuals in the past parliament.

''He did very well in his ended term as the majority leader but i would advise him to be a little bit softer this time,'' said Mbadi.

Duale is to be deputized by Taveta lawmaker Naomi Shaaban.
