The Suba MP said the party will not be shaken by plans from the government to destabilise it by persuading members to quit.

Speaking in Tiwi, Kwale County during a fundraiser in aid of women groups in the area, Mbadi said the resignation of Ababu as the secretary general will not be a major blow to the party since the position will be filled and the objectives met.

During the event, Mbadi criticised the current regime over its failure to fight corruption.

He said the Jubilee government has failed Kenyans as billions of shillings have gone into the hands of few corrupt individuals serving in the government.

The MP further called on the government to stop extra judicial killings believed to be conducted by security agencies in the country.
