Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has threatened to deny nomination certificates to aspirants who are not helping the party in the ongoing mass voter listing exercise across the country.
According to the national chairman John Mbadi, the party leader Raila Odinga is disappointed with the low voter registration turnout in his Nyanza region stronghold.
He noted that the party will soon take a disciplinary action against those aspirants who are not facilitating the party's directive.
"ODM has made a resolution that the 30 days scheduled by the IEBC for voter registration are spent on mobilizing supporters to register as voters. Anybody ignoring this musy be reprimanded," said the Mbadi who is also the Suba MP.
The lawmaker lamented that some members of the party are only concentrating on their personal agenda at the expense of the party.
"The certificates will be given to those who can identify themselves with the party," he noted.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission report released on Monday noted that perceived opposition stronghold have seen low voter enlisting turnout.
