Kisumu Deputy Governor Ruth Odinga has faulted ODM party national chairman John Mbadi of being partisan ahead of the party nominations set to be conducted in February.
Ruth accused Mbadi of showing his stance by inviting sitting governors to fundraisers, something she said was a pointer that other aspirants would not get a free and fair nomination process.
"As the chairman, he should be neutral and focus on how best ODM party can be made more vibrant," she said.
She further called on the MP to resign if he failed to handle his roles as expected.
"Mbadi should support party structures so that we can have free, fair and transparent nominations," Odinga added.
This comes after the Suba MP last week hosted Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma to a harambee in Suba constituency in a move that critics have doubted his autonomy.
Ms Odinga said that the gesture was enough to tell the ODM fraternity where Mbadi's support lies ahead of 2017.
"Some of the Governors who are now close to Mbadi have done nothing substantive for the party. Their development records are wanting," she further said.
