ODM national chairman John Mbadi has said it is not possible for a country to be led by two communities for more than 70 years.
Speaking in a Mombasa hotel on Tuesday, Mbadi said it was time for other communities to have their own share of power.
The chairman said the first President of Kenya Jomo Kenyatta, his successor Daniel Moi, Mwai Kibaki and President Uhuru Kenyatta have represented the two communities to the fullest.
“We respect and acknowledge the immense contribution that these two communities have made in our country but it is now time for others to develop our country,” said Mbadi.
Meanwhile, the ODM chair hit out at the Director Public Prosecutions (DPP) and the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) for labeling everyone as a hate monger.
He said some of the statements made by a section of leaders were necessary as they are eye openers.
“We need to tell each other the truth at times. Lets not be quick to label every truth as hate speech, as others are great eye openers to the people,” said Mbadi.
