Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party national chairperson John Mbadi has warned members from engaging in violent activities that dent the party's image.
This comes after violent scenes were witnessed in North Kamagambo in Rongo sub-county when camps allied to Migori Governor Okoth Obado and former Minster Ochilo Ayako clashed.
In a statement sent to newsrooms following the Monday incident, Mbadi said investigations will be carried out and culprits will be punished.
"The happenings witnessed in Rongo was a shame. We as ODM will get to the bottom of it and those found to be responsible for the chaos will be punished," read Mbadi's statement.
The groups clashed during the burial of a local MCA's father.
Obado and Ochilo are bitter political rivals who are both eying the Migori gubernatorial seat on an ODM ticket during the next general election.
ODM party has historically been associated with violence something that has tainted the party's image.
