ODM Chairman John Mbadi has said that Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) is not to blame for Deputy William Ruto’s case at the International criminal Court (ICC) and the Mau issue.
Speaking to a local daily, Mbadi urged residents of Rift Valley to support the former prime minister for Presidency come 2017 and not to fault him for the problems Ruto encountered at The Hague after the last general elections.
“We want the people of the Rift Valley to know that Raila was not been behind Ruto’s woes at the ICC and the Mau evictions,” ODM Chairman Mbadi.
This comes at a time when Raila is seeking for support from the Kalenjin community as he seeks to unseat President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto during the next general polls.
Raila affirmed to fight for the entire nation and not his supporters during his tour in different parts of Rift valley.
“Today I am not here to talk ODM politics but to speak for the current and future generations of the Kipsigis community who will be adversely affected by the dramatic climatic change brought about by the dam. The damage the dam will cause is real,” Raila said.
The former prime minister addressed rallies in Bureti, Belgut and Ainamoi constituencies.
