Speaking on Tuesday in Nairobi, Mbadi said that the Orange party will not tolerate members who engage in or support acts of hooliganism, further saying that stern disciplinary action would be taken against members who perpetuate violence.

“As a party we are not going to tolerate members who support or engage in acts of hooliganism in their rallies,” he said.

Meanwhile, Mbadi said that the party has launched investigations into the chaos pitting supporters of Migori Governor Okoth Obado and former Minister Ochilo Ayacko at a funeral service in Rongo on Monday.

Mbadi warned that disciplinary action will be taken against those who will be found to have sponsored the chaos.

Obado’s supporters clashed with those of Ayako during a funeral service at Kamagambo village in Rongo Sub County on Monday.

Police were forced to use tear gas to quell the chaos that lasted for more than thirty minutes resulting to injuries of several people.
