The Head of the African Union Election Observation Mission to Kenya, Thabo Mbeki, has lauded stakeholders in this year’s General Election.

The former South African President has said the stakeholders cooperated well his team.

Mbeki who met Acting Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi on Friday expressed satisfaction with the collaboration.

 “We’re meeting more people today so they will all come together tomorrow so that we can then comment on everything whether it is the electoral commission, the Judiciary, the security arraignments, the President (Uhuru Kenyatta), Mr Raila Odinga and everyone else,” Mbeki stated.

“We are very pleased that everybody we had requested to meet has been very ready including the minister who has given as his briefing this morning,” he explained.

Among people Mbeki was due to meet are diplomats including those representing African states in the country, women advocacy groups and representatives of the United Nations.
