Businessman Ali Mbogo has expressed confidence in winning the Kisauni parliamentary race in 2017.

Mbogo said his track record is enough to make the electorate stand with him in next year's general election.

The outspoken politician said no one who will come between him and the seat, adding that he will emerge the winner with over 70 per cent of the votes cast.

“Today, we have over 100,000 registered voters. In the last mass registration, Kisauni led in the entire Coast region. Ask yourself why people came out in large numbers to register as voters,” said Mbogo, during an interview with Radio Salaam.

The aspiring MP also vowed to improve security in this region.

The constituency has been in the limelight recently, following the mushrooming of juvenile criminal gangs.

Mbogo is set to battle it out with the incumbent, Rashid Bedzimba.
