Kisauni MP Ali Mbogo has officially kicked off NASA campaigns in the constituency ahead of the repeat presidential election slated for October 17.Mbogo who launched the campaign at Mwakirunge in Kisauni on Monday said that the campaigns were geared towards ensuring Raila clinches the presidency.Addressing residents at Mwakirunge primary school grounds, Mbogo said Raila was the best person to lead the country. The legislature said that Kisauni will deliver over 100 thousands votes to Raila because he is a development oriented leader.Kisauni has a total of 126,151 registered voters.“Let us not lose focus but drive our political campaigns towards ensuring that Raila wins the repeat presidential election on October 17,” he said.Mbogo further defended Raila’s move to appeal for financial aid to fund his campaign, arguing that Jubilee also did that same by organizing a dinner prior to the August 8 polls.“We all remember that Uhuru charged Sh10 million per plate during a dinner to raise campaign funds and people contributed, so what is so new with Raila’s funds drive?” asked Mbogo. He appealed to residents to ensure they firmly remain in NASA and vote for Raila and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka.Mbogo met with Raila on Wednesday, last week, to strategise on how to carry out NASA campaigns in Kisauni.
