An MP is seeking assistance from leaders in Mombasa to help fight and bring to an end rising criminality.
Mishi Mboko (Likoni) said on Saturday the fight against crime has been left to her alone as other leaders in the county take a back seat.
Mishi said Mombasa needs peace for the ailing tourism industry to gain momentum adding that no visitor will visit the Coastal conty with the high cases of killings, muggings an burglaries.
"Mombasa has a Governor, a Senator and a Woman Representative," she said.
"All leaders were elected to help residents realise the dreams. Where are they in the fight against crime?"
Governor Hassan Joho three weeks ago when police gunned down six suspected criminals in Mombasa was out of the country but Women Representative Asha Hussein and Senator Faki Mohamed Mwinyihaji have never commented on the killings.
Likoni where Mishi represents in Parliament is among sub counties classified as the most insecure today in the entire Mombasa county.
In the last three weeks close to 10 suspected members of the dreaded 'Wakali Kwanza' criminal gang have been gunned down at the constituency.
Other outlawed gangs operating in Likoni include the pangs wielding Brothers for Life and Chafu group.
