Likoni MP hopeful Mishi Mboko has pleaded with residents to support he bid ahead of Tuesday’s elections.
In an interview with People Daily on Wednesday, Mboko promised to push for development if elected.Mboko, who is the current Mombasa Women Representative, said she will not disappoint residents if she clinches the seat, adding that her main focus will be to empower locals economically.She urged residents to reject the incumbent MP Masoud Mwahima, arguing that he has failed to fully represent Likoni residents in the National Assembly.“I am urging Likoni residents to support my candidature because I have the experience to represent them in the National Assembly,” said Mboko, as quoted by the daily.“Do not vote for old politicians who have no development track record,” she added.The outspoken MP asked Mwahima to prepare for a tough battle, adding that she will send him to political retirement.Mwahima, who dumped ODM, is seeking re-election on a Jubilee party ticket.
