Speaking during a meeting at Caltex grounds in Likoni on Wednesday, Mboko stated that Mwahima had ridden on ODM's popularity in the region to ascend to power.

She called on Mwahima to prepare for a by-election since he defected to Jubilee.

“Let us not lie to Likoni residents that there is anything good in Jubilee. If in four  years they have failed to solve land problems, what makes them think that they can do so in the remaining few months?" Mboko paused.

Mboko also affirmed that Jubilee government was not concerned about the problems facing Coast residents.

“Likoni is and will always remain an ODM zone and I Mishi Mboko will be your next MP because I am a woman and a mother and I understand the problem facing my children in Likoni,” said Mboko.

The leader also likened ODM party leader Raila Odinga as a father to Likoni people due to his constant visits.

“Remember he who helps you in the hour of need is your friend and Raila has proven beyond any reasonable doubt that he is the father of Likoni people. I think we should only reward him by electing him the 5th president of Kenya come 2017.
