Mombasa Woman Rep Mishi Mboko has said she will not support former Likoni MP Suleiman Shakombo.
Mboko warned Shakombo against joyriding in political events organised by other leaders, adding that she will not back the former legislator because he is insincere.
This comes after their supporters clashed at a fundraiser in Likoni, forcing Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho to intervene.
The Saturday incident almost ruined the fundraiser, as the two groups booed and jeered at each other.
“I will not support Shakombo’s bid to reclaim the seat because he is not sincere,” said Mboko, as quoted by The Star.
There was a similar confrontation between the two leaders about two months ago when they exchanged bitter words at Mtongwe Girls Secondary School in the constituency.
The rivalry between the two politicians seems to have erupted after they both declared interest in the Likoni parliamentary seat.
Top ODM Party officials are said to have endorsed Mboko for the seat.
