Nakuru County Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has hailed the role played by churches in the region in their continued efforts to promoting peace and stability in the region. Mbugua, while speaking to the media on Wednesday at the county headquarters during a fellowship event between the county government and Gilgil sub-county religious leaders said that churches have largely impacted positively on the behavior of Nakuru residents.

"I strongly appreciate the work done by churches in spreading peace across the county. A strong partnership between the church and county government has helped foster peace for development in this region," Mbugua said.

The county boss also promised to continue to extend such fellowship programs to other sub-counties in the area to encourage churches continue with their mission. The prayers were led by Bishop Hiram Njenga of Oasis of Love who also thanked the governor for his efforts in uniting Nakuru people despite of their diverse backgrounds.
