Nakuru County Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has hailed the Muslim community for their continued support and contribution towards developing the region even as they celebrate this year’s Eid-ul-Fitr across the globe.
Mbugua who was speaking at the Afraha Stadium during the celebration of the Eid-ul-Fitr in the region added that the prayer period has also contributed to peace and harmony in the country.
"I want to personally appreciate the efforts made by the Muslim fraternity in ensuring Nakuru becomes a developed region through investments and businesses as they celebrate this day worldwide. As a county we will continue supporting our Muslim brothers in all the matters to ensure prosperity, peace and harmony," Mbugua said.
The county boss was accompanied by his deputy Joseph Rutto among other county leaders and officials.
