Nakuru county woman representative Mary Mbugua has condoled with the family and friends of Peter Ongeri, one of the Kenya Power technicians who died Wednesday after being electrocuted last Sunday in Nakuru town.
Through her official Facebook page, Mbugua termed Ongeri's death as painful and wished the affected family strength.
"My sincere condolences to the family of the Kenya Power technician who succumbed to his injuries at the Kenyatta National Hospital after being electrocuted while installing an outdoor meter in Nakuru. May the Lord who only can give consolation be with you at this difficult time," read the post.
The MP also wished the other recovering technician speedy recovery.
The two technicians were Sunday evening electrocuted after power was allegedly switched on as they were trying to install a power out door meter atop an electric pole in Nakuru Industrial area.
Kenya power has since launched investigations into the mishap, with Mbugua leading the calls to have those responsible prosecuted.
