Mbugua also reiterated his commitment to work with the men of cloth to drive the county agenda saying they equally played an integral role in securing the freedom of Deputy President William Ruto and journalist Joshua Sang from their crimes against humanity cases at the Hague.

He spoke Wednesday when he met a delegation from the Njoro Pastors Forum Members in his office,

"It has been through your prayers and support that today we are celebrating the freedom of our people. The church should continue praying for this country and leaders so that Kenya will continue to rise and beat the odds," he said.

On their part, the pastors asked the county government to facilitate them to build a prayer centre in Lare as well as raise funds for their welfare as spiritual leaders.
