Former Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has hit out at Opposition leader Raila Odinga over his remarks of forming a National Resistance Movement.

Addressing media on Thursday after casting his vote at Tayari primary school in Molo, Kinuthia claimed such sentiments is a catalyst for war and chaos.

“It was wrong for Raila whom we respect so much to make such remarks at a time when the nation was undergoing a spirit of heightened political temperatures,” he said.

The former Administration Police commandant said that for a person of Raila’s calibre and who is interested in the leadership of this country at the moment or after, it would only be wise to seat and watch what the will of the electorate will be.

While lauding majority of Kenyans for exercising restraint, Kinuthia said that Kenyans have matured enough and have learnt to appreciate good leadership.
