Mbugua made the sentiments while referring to the thanksgiving prayer held at Afraha Stadium on Saturday.

Speaking on Sunday at PCEA Neema Church in Kiti, the county boss also commended the church for conducting a successful event which was attended by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto, governors, senators, MPs among other government leaders.

‘I take this chance to thank all the churches and their leaders for conducting an excellent thanksgiving prayer service at Afraha Stadium. In line with this, I urge them to continue being our leading lights as we continue to strengthen our resolve to live in peace and harmony. This is a sign that Nakuru has fully transformed into a county of peace and diversity,’ Mbugua said.

The governor also thanked Nakuru residents at large for turning up for the event in large numbers as well as displaying respect to the leaders during the process.
