Nakuru governor Kinuthia Mbugua has met David Kariuki, a Person With Disability, who walks on a wheelchair, at his place of work on the periphery of Lions Garden, opposite PinKam house, Wednesday.
This is after Daniel Ndambuki, of the Churchill Show, held talks with him, on his show.
”I learnt about the plight of this hardworking man during the Churchill Show Nakuru Edition on Friday last week,” he said.
Despite of living with disability, Kariuki, is a family man with two kids. He supports his family as a small scale trader in the business of taking people’s weight measurements using a simple weighing machine which he operates from his special wheel chair, in Nkauru town.
”Just like anyone of us, Kariuki has immense potential to cater for his family as well as better the lives of those around him,” said the governor.
“This is the reason I volunteered to support him uplift his business to the level that it can comfortably meet his needs and satisfy his ambitions,” he added.
