Speaking on Tuesday at Emarangushu primary school in Solai, the governor committed to supporting educational issues saying that an educated society was a developed one.

The governor applauded the positive improvements that have been done in the sector since he assumed power at the helm of Nakuru county leadership saying that the sector was among the best raring to how students performed in the 2015 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).

Aaccording to Mbugua, education was among the sectors that are critical in building oneness and peaceful coexistence because institutions of learning bring together irrespective of tribe, community or race.

"Education is the only unifying factor we have among our children and that's why we budget heavily for education and next financial year will see an increase from this year's allocation because we want to ensure that our children access school," he said.

He made this remarks after he attended a thanks giving ceremony for Bethwel Kiplimo who got an A in last year's KCSE at Emining High school in Kabarnet.
